Is this the official Google Classroom app?
No — and we say so everywhere. Google doesn't make a Mac app for Classroom, so we built a native companion. Join For Classroom is an independent third-party app, not affiliated with Google.
Do I need a Google account?
Yes. You sign into your Google Classroom account in the embedded browser view, just like you would on classroom.google.com.
Does Join For Classroom read my coursework or grades?
No. Your Google Classroom session stays entirely inside Apple's WebKit on your Mac. We never see your classwork or grades.
What does the AI assistant do with my data?
AI queries are sent to our proxy only when you explicitly ask a question. We never train models on your input. See the Privacy Policy for details.
What macOS version do I need?
macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Apple Silicon and Intel Macs are both supported.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel them in the Mac App Store. Lifetime is a one-time purchase — no renewal.
