Terms of Use

Welcome to Join For Classroom(“Join For Classroom”, “we”, “our”), a macOS application published by Kodeora (“Kodeora”). By downloading, installing, or using Join For Classroom, you agree to these Terms of Use (the “Terms”). If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. License

Kodeora grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Join For Classroom on Apple-branded devices you own or control, subject to Apple's Standard EULA and these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or distribute the app except as expressly permitted.

2. Subscriptions and payments

Join For Classroom offers a free tier with limits, plus the following paid plans sold through the Mac App Store:

• Weekly Access — $4.99 / week (auto-renewing)
• Monthly Access — $9.99 / month (auto-renewing)
• Yearly Access — $24.99 / year (auto-renewing)
• Lifetime Access — $49.99 one-time

Subscriptions auto-renew through your Apple ID unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel them any time in your App Store Account → Subscriptions. Lifetime Access is a one-time purchase that unlocks the same entitlement. Refunds are handled by Apple per the App Store's refund policy.

3. Your Google account

Join For Classroom is a companion to Google Classroom and requires a Google account that has access to Classroom. You are responsible for keeping your Google credentials secure, for complying with Google's Terms of Service, and for the content of any work you submit through Google Classroom. Kodeora is not a party to your relationship with Google.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Join For Classroom to:

• Violate any law or regulation.
• Submit work generated by the AI Study Assistant as your own without your school's permission. Our AI tools are designed to help you understand, summarize, study, and outline — not to write your assignments for you. Academic integrity policies at your school still apply.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or entitlement checks, or tamper with StoreKit receipts.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source from the app, beyond what applicable law permits.
• Use Join For Classroom to harass, threaten, or violate the rights of others.

5. AI Study Assistant

The AI Study Assistant can be wrong, incomplete, or occasionally produce content that doesn't fit your context. Treat its output as a starting point, verify important facts, and use your own judgment. Kodeora is not liable for reliance on AI output.

6. Intellectual property

Join For Classroom, including its name, logo, source code, copy, and visual design, is the property of Kodeora. “Google”, “Google Classroom”, and related marks are trademarks of Google LLC. Join For Classroom is an independent third-party app and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes what data Join For Classroom processes. By using the app, you acknowledge you have read it.

8. Disclaimers

Join For Classroom is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Kodeora does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kodeora will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from or related to your use of Join For Classroom. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for Join For Classroom in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using Join For Classroom at any time. Kodeora may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. On termination, provisions that by their nature should survive will survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability).

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app and on this page, with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the app after changes means you accept the new Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Kodeora is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection laws where you live.
